Each year, SASA strives to recognize, encourage, and support students pursuing statistical degrees at South African institutions of higher learning. The SASA Executive Committee (EC) manages the operational aspects of student competitions and awards, ensuring that the quality of awardees is vetted by experts. Additionally, SASA organizes an annual conference, featuring two days of high-level workshops led by leading statisticians, followed by a three-day conference. We aim to support as many students as possible, as there are many deserving candidates each year.
